A dos meses de la erupción, el volcán chileno tiene actividad moderada pero permanente
El complejo volcánico chileno Puyehue, ubicado a unos 90 kilómetros al noroeste de Bariloche, entró en erupción el 4 de junio y hoy, a dos meses de ese momento, muestra una actividad moderada pero permanente, informaron expertos del vecino país.
El informe analiza a diario la actividad sísmica leve, los espaciados “eventos explosivos” y la intensidad de los “episodios de tremor armónico”, todos indicadores de la actividad eruptiva del volcán, que desde la primera quincena de junio se evidencian en declive.
Por el contrario, en los quince días anteriores al 4 de junio esos indicadores fueron en alza, con una temible actividad sísmica que hacía inminente la erupción.
Ese día, la columna de gases y materiales piroclásticos -piedra pomez ardiente, arena, ceniza y otros- alcanzó los diez kilómetros de altura, y repartió esos elementos en cientos de kilómetros a la redonda.
