Correa ganó el referendo que impone controles a la Justicia y a la prensa
El presidente de Ecuador, Rafael Correa, impuso su polémico proyecto para controlar el sistema judicial y los medios de comunicación, al haber logrado el 47,54% de los votos –una ventaja de poco más de 6 puntos– en un referendo que propuso su gobierno y en el que se votó además por un amplio espectro de temas como corridas de toros y juegos de azar.
La transformación del sistema judicial, tema principal de la consulta junto a mayores regulaciones a los medios de comunicación, fueron el núcleo de la campaña del gobierno, que ha sido acusado por la oposición, por magistrados y por periodistas de buscar acallar a la disidencia y de intentar ocultar casos de corrupción que salpican a familiares del presidente.
