Correa vuelve a arremeter contra los medios en Ecuador
El presidente de Ecuador, Rafael Correa, criticó a los medios de prensa al presentar su informe en la Asamblea Nacional, en el que aseguró que la palabra “libertad” se transformó en un “comodín” de la derecha.
Correa leyó por casi una hora un informe en el que se refirió a la libertad de expresión y al juicio que inició contra directivos del diario El Universo y su ex editor de opinión, Emilio Palacio, por “injurias calumniosas”.
“La palabra libertad, tan sagrada, la han convertido en el comodín de la derecha, de los grupos de poder, de los mediocres, más aún cuando es incuestionable la transformación que vive la patria”, dijo.
En marzo, Correa demandó a los directivos del diario y a Palacio, quien escribió que el presidente ordenó “fuego a discreción” durante la rebelión policial del 30 de septiembre del año pasado.
Cinco diarios del país, La Hora , El Universo , Expreso , Hoy y El Comercio , publicaron ayer la misma portada en la que expresan en letras grandes rojas y negras “por la libertad de expresión”.
