Crean un programa nacional para proteger a perros y gatos
La presidenta de la Nación Cristina Fernández de Kirchner firmó el decreto que crea un programa de Protección y Tenencia Responsable de perros y gatos por medio del cual se coordinarán campañas de castración y prevención de posibles enfermedades zoonóticas.
El programa, prevé la coordinación de campañas de castración con los gobiernos provinciales, municipales, facultades de Ciencias Veterinarias, colegios profesionales e institutos especializados en todo el país.
Para ello, pone en funcionamiento una unidad ejecutora que estará compuesta por un representante del Ministerio de Salud, uno de Desarrollo Social y un tercero de la secretaria de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la Jefatura del Gabinete de ministros.
El programa fue presentado en la Residencia presidencial de Olivos por el jefe de gabinete Aníbal Fernández quien afirmó que el eje del plan será “la tenencia responsable de animales”, domésticos.
