El Parlamento europeo exige que "cese la matanza" en Siria
El presidente del Parlamento Europeo, Jerzy Buzek, denunció la “matanza” cometida por el régimen sirio en Hama y llamó a Damasco a comenzar una transición del poder.
“La utilización de armas pesadas y la matanza de civiles inocentes no puede justificarse. El régimen sirio y la jerarquía militar tienen que comprender esto”, agregó.
El presidente del Parlamento Europeo es el primer responsable de las instituciones de la UE que reacciona. Los reportes de varias organizaciones hablan de más de 145 muertos y cientos de heridos.
Según militantes de los derechos humanos, en una importante ofensiva del Ejército sirio en Hama, ciudad rebelde del centro del país que el régimen del presidente Bashar al Asad trata de someter desde hace varias semanas.
