“Un joven fue atropellado en horas de la noche de ayer, en la ruta Nacional 14, cerca del puesto caminero de Bella Vista, perdiendo la vida instantáneamente, tras lo cual quien lo atropelló se dio a la fuga.
El trágico suceso se produjo alrededor de las 22.30, cuando de sur a norte circulaba el micro interno 980 de la empresa Río Uruguay, procedente de Retiro, Buenos Aires, con destino a Posadas, Misiones.
Al parecer uno de los pasajeros, un joven de uno 26 años de edad, identificado como Martín Manfredi, oriundo de Posadas, mantuvo una fuerte discusión con uno de los miembros del personal de la empresa luego de haber estado encerrado muchos minutos en el baño.
Extrañamente, el pasajero –según relatos de los choferes- exigió bajar del micro y dada la insistencia y tensión del momento, el chofer detuvo su marcha a la altura del kilómetro 141,5, donde el alterado pasajero bajó.
Siempre en base a los relatos del conductor del micro, se supo que ante esta situación, los choferes decidieron retornar rumbo al sur, para dar aviso a la Policía Caminera de lo que había ocurrido, tas lo cual se dirigieron a la zona donde el joven había descendido, encontrándose con el cuerpo del misto tendido en la ruta, con severas lesiones en la zona del cráneo y su brazo derecho, observándose restos de masa encefálica sobre uno de los guardarail y pavimento, lo que evidenciaba que había sido embestido por un vehículo aparentemente de gran porte, el cual no se encontraba en el lugar.”
