Dos incendios de pastos que se originaron este martes en terrenos del viejo hospital, generaron serios problemas a vecinos del barrio y obligaron a la intervención de los bomberos.
El primer siniestro tuvo lugar alrededor de las 15:30, cuando un vecino intentó quemar ramas y el fuego se extendió rápidamente producto del viento, los pastos altos y los conocidos chaucheros.
Inmediatamente, ante la imposibilidad de controlarlo, se dio aviso a los bomberos y una autobomba solucionó el problema en pocos minutos.
Ya en horas de la noche, por causas que se desconocen, se inició otro foco a pocos metros de la capilla, expandiéndose rápidamente y obligando a la intervención de dos autobombas, que lograron controlar el fuego, tras lo cual se retiraron.
Al parecer alguna brasa que pudo quedar entre las ramas, generó un nuevo foco y al incrementarse las llamas por el viento y la sequedad del terreno, los servidores públicos debieron actuar por tercera vez, terminando así en forma definitiva con los focos
