La draga reanudaría su tarea el próximo martes 26 de junio
La draga Santa Fe 258 C efectuó ayer una prueba de dragado, después de un período de paralización de casi 6 meses (desde diciembre) por tareas inherentes al mantenimiento y reparación de uno de sus motores.
Así lo hizo saber el titular de la seccional local de la Dirección Nacional de Vías Navegables, Raúl Heidenrech, al consignar que se aguarda para este jueves 21 el arribo de una comisión del edificio Guardacostas de la Prefectura Naval Argentina, encargada de hacer las inspecciones del caso para posibilitar la reanudación de los trabajos en el kilómetro 118 del río Uruguay, prevista para el próximo martes 26.
De acuerdo a lo informado, la delegación de la Capital Federal inspeccionará el funcionamiento de las máquinas, del sistema de electricidad, seguridad y comunicaciones, el equipamiento y el casco a flote. Asimismo, para el lunes 25 se espera por la llegada de la documentación que habilite esta nueva etapa del dragado a 19 pies.
Reparación en uno de los motores
Heindenrech explicó que los inconvenientes suscitados en uno de los motores de la draga obligaron a postergar los trabajos de mejoramiento de la navegabilidad del río Uruguay. En este sentido, admitió que los desperfectos constatados en la draga fueron más graves que lo que pensaba en un primer momento, razón por la que se debió fabricar repuestos en Holanda, que fueron importados por la empresa que efectuó la reparación del motor. A todo esto, el funcionario aclaró que, si bien se han iniciado los trámites, aún no se ha conseguido la autorización para concretar las obras y mejorar la profundidad en el Bajo Uruguay, es decir desde el puente internacional Gualeguaychú-Fray Bentos hasta Nueva Palmira.
