La Justicia belga revela la identidad de curas pederastas
En medio del viaje apostólico del Papa en Benin, Africa, el Vaticano sufrió otro duro golpe en la desastrosa serie de escándalos por los curas pedófilos , al anunciar la Justicia de Bélgica que facilitó a las autoridades locales identidades y domicilios de un centenar de miembros del clero que cometieron actos de pederastía.
La mayoría de los casos fueron cometidos hace más de treinta años y entraron en prescripción, pero la magistratura belga desea que los nombres y ubicaciones de los responsables sean conocidos por la gente “para evitar que reincidan”, según informó ayer el diario flamenco Het Laastste Nieuws .
Los casos fueron descubiertos en una resonante investigación judicial, llamada “Operación Kelk”, que demostró una horrible cadena de crímenes sexuales cometidos por religiosos. Fueron denunciados 488 casos de abusos contra menores, en algunos casos infantes de 2 y 4 años.
La mayor parte eran niños de entre 10 y 14 años. La justicia estima que las víctimas tienen hoy entre 40 y 70 años. Lo más trágico fue que 13 víctimas se suicidaron.
