La megacausa que investiga la denominada mafia de los medicamentos acaba de sumar un nuevo detenido: el empresario y ex gerenciador del PAMI Rubén Darío Romano, titular de la droguería Romala, que proveía remedios a obras sociales.
Romano está acusado del delito de defraudación a la administración pública y estaba prófugo de la Justicia. Se lo investiga a raíz de una denuncia de Graciela Ocaña por la venta de medicamentos a través de Sebastián Forza a la Obra Social del Personal de Agua y Energía Eléctrica de Mendoza.
Estos se pagaron con fondos de la Administración de Programas Espaciales (APE) de las obras sociales en base a expediente irregulares. La maniobra era inventar pacientes o falsificar troqueles de remedios para presentarlos al APE y cobrar esos subsidios.
