Más de 40 muertos por la ola de tornados en Estados Unidos
Lo que comenzó el jueves como un estado de alerta ya es una tragedia y que sigue creciendo y sembrando temor en parte del sur de Estados Unidos.
Techos arrancados, árboles derribados, barrios enteros devastados es la postal de la zona.
Más de 100 tornados se produjeron como consecuencia de una fuerte tormenta que se formó el jueves y afectó a los estados sureños de Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Misisipi, Alabama, Carolina del Norte (sureste) y Kansas (centro).
Las consecuencias de este fenómeno meteorológico son tremendas: hay al menos 44 muertos en seis estados, especialmente en Carolina del Norte, según un conteo hecho este domingo por la agencia de noticias internacional AFP, en base a datos proporcionados por las autoridades locales de la zona afectada.
