México: asesinan a balazos al alcalde del estado de Michoacán
El alcalde de La Piedad, en el central estado mexicano de Michoacán, Ricardo Guzmán Romero, fue asesinado a tiros por un grupo armado.
El asesinato de Guzmán se produce a once días de que se renueve la gobernación, las alcaldías de 113 municipios y 40 diputaciones del Congreso local.
Según los primeros informes, el edil se trasladaba a su domicilio cuando fue atacado por sujetos armados que iban a bordo de un vehículo, confirmaron miembros del Partido Acción Nacional (PAN).
“La información que tenemos es que estaba repartiendo propaganda cuando hombres le dispararon desde una camioneta”, dijo el líder estatal del PAN, Germán Tena, según despacho de DPA.
La candidata del PAN a la gobernación de Michoacán, Luisa María Calderón, hermana del presidente de México, Felipe Calderón, se mostró “dolida” por la muerte de “un excelente alcalde”.
