Pusieron en marcha el primer biodigestor que funciona con desechos de la planta de biogás de Colón
La Asociación del Departamento Colón de Ayuda al Discapacitado inició las actividades del primer biodigestor de la provincia que funciona con los desechos de la planta de biodisel.
El aparato produce 16 metros cúbicos de biogás por día mediante la utilización de un efluente, como es el glicerol, y todos los residuos orgánicos de la cocina y los desechos de la huerta.
El proyecto, que fue desarrollado por el Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial (INTI), cierra el ciclo de producción de biocombustibles en la institución.
“La puesta en marcha de este biodigestor traerá importantes beneficios desde el punto de vista ambiental ya que un elemento que es un subproducto en el mismo lugar se lo regenera como un insumo y genera biogás que será utilizado en la misma planta para producir biodiesel, en las instalaciones para calentar una caldera de agua y para el horno de la panadería”, precisó el secretario de Ambiente Sustentable, Fernando Raffo.
