Se hundió un barco con inmigrantes en Indonesia: hay 200 desaparecidos
Cuadrillas de rescate batallaron ayer con el fuerte oleaje para tratar de localizar a unas 200 personas que buscaban asilo y que se teme que hayan muerto ahogadas después que su frágil embarcación naufragó frente a la costa de Java, la principal isla de Indonesia.
Los sobrevivientes, muchos de Medio Oriente, les dijeron a las autoridades que trataban de llegar a Australia, dijo un funcionario de la Policía marítima que dirigió las operaciones de rescate.
La Policía atribuyó el accidente de ayer a la sobrecarga, al señalar en declaraciones a la agencia oficial de noticias de Indonesia, Antara, que la embarcación al parecer llevaba más del doble de su capacidad.
