Una firma del Parque Industrial de Concordia estaría involucrada en trabajo esclavo en Ubajay
El Coordinador del Consejo Provincial del Niño, el Adolescente y la Familia (Copnaf) en Concordia, Fernando Rouger, manifestó que los trabajadores que fueron encontrados en condiciones de explotación laboral contaban con recibos de sueldo.
Los mismos eran librados por la empresa “Impregnadora del Este” radicada en el Parque Industrial de Concordia.
El obraje ubicado en zona rural de Ubajay, departamento Colón, serviría como mano de obra barata para dotar de insumos de madera a bajísimo costo a la mencionada compañía
Asimismo, el funcionario precisó que se contrataba “trabajadores paraguayos que estaban todos en negro, en condiciones infrahumanas”.
Por otro lado, en una inspección realizada el día miércoles por diferentes organismos del Estado se había detectado a una veintena de personas que se encontraban sometidas a trabajos esclavos en Ubajay.
Allí se comprobó la existencia de las condiciones de hacinamiento de los trabajadores, donde habría una cantidad todavía imprecisa de adolescentes; habitando en carpas de nylon e ingiriendo carne en mal estado.
