En este caso, Yates es el funcionario que se había negado, a pesar de las pruebas existentes, a reabrir la investigación sobre el escándalo de las escuchas telefónicas en 2009.
Una comisión de Scotland Yard, encargada de asuntos disciplinarios, debe reunirse hoy para tratar el caso de Yates. El jefe de la oposición laborista Ed Miliband había juzgado que “una enorme nube negra” pesaba sobre Yates, que “debería asumir sus responsabilidades sobre lo que hizo”.
