La Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa criticó la Ley de Medios y optó por “una prensa con excesos"
La SIP que visitó durante los últimos días el país, brindó una conferencia en la que criticó la Ley de Servicios de Comunicación Audiovisual y en la que su presidente, Gonzalo Marroquín, afirmó que es “mejor una prensa con excesos que una prensa controlada”.
Los representantes de la SIP contestaron a la prensa con evasivas respecto del conflicto por Papel Prensa, y subrayaron su rechazo a la “intervención” de los Estados en cuestiones relacionadas con los medios.
Durante la presentación, Marroquín -que representa al diario Siglo XXI de Guatemala- expresó la preocupación de la SIP respecto de la “libertad de prensa en Argentina”, pero dijo no estar “informado respecto del caso” del periodista misionero Marcelo Almada, censurado por Cablevisión.
El empresario aventuró que “se trata de una cuestión de líneas editoriales de los medios, que deben tener la posibilidad de poner o quitar columnistas”.
